Native to the Amazon region of South America, camu camu is a bush that runs wild along flood plains and is extremely flood tolerant. The fruit is a reddish-purple berry with a high vitamin C content. The camu camu berry contains many other antioxidants and essential antioxidants. The camu camu berry is also used in the traditional diet intended to flavor sweets - drinks and preserves - but due to its high nutritional content, it is increasingly used as a food supplement. Raw camu camu organic berries chosen for the best quality are cleaned in clean water, dried and then finely ground.
When the berries are harvested, they are immediately put on boats and frozen, so that they reach consumers with their nutrients preserved. Its fruit contains more naturally occurring vitamin C than any other known plant in the world (100 g of fruit contains about 2 g of vitamin C). It has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and contains a significant amount of amino acids (serine, valine and leucine), beta-carotene and bioflavonoids. In addition to vitamin C, it also contains amino acids, beta-carotene, fibers, calcium, potassium, phosphorus and iron.

PESTICIDES
Organic Camu camu Powder complies with the requirements outlined in Council Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 (and consecutive amendments). It also complies with Soil Association strict organic farming standards. During the manufacturing process the product and the packaging materials are not exposed to pesticides or pesticide residues. Pesticides are not stored on site, nor used in the manufacturing or warehousing areas.
IRRADIATION
The product has not been irradiated and complies with the EU regulation 1999/3/EC.
BSE STATEMENT
Organic Camu camu Powder is produced exclusively from plant source, and does not contain any components from animal origin. It has not been derived from any animal source, and has not come into contact with any components of animal origin.
