A dark purple berry harvested in the ancient landscapes of Patagonia in southern Chile. The maqui (pronounced: maki) berry is famous for its high vitamin, dietary fiber, protein, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory composition. The maqui berry was traditionally used by the natives for medicinal purposes. It is considered a superfood in modern, modern eating. The finest berries are hand-harvested from the maqui bush and preserved using a natural process. It is dried by flash freezing in a strong vacuum. The dried maqui berries are ground into a fine powder. Maqui berry powder naturally preserves its rich mineral, protein, vitamin and fiber content.
It has a considerable ability to bind free radicals. According to the ORAC scale, 100 grams of fruit achieves a value of 50000 µmol, which is far ahead of all other natural anthocyanin and polyphenol sources. The crimson berries, which grow only in Patagonia, have an unusual, slightly bitter-sweet taste at first, but they are also eaten raw in their country and even made into wine.

PESTICIDE FREE
Organic Maqui Berry Powder is pesticide free and complies with the Soil Association strict organic farming requirements. During the manufacturing process the product and the packaging materials are not exposed to pesticides or pesticide residues. Pesticides are not stored on site, nor used in the manufacturing or warehousing areas.
IRRADIATION
The product has not been irradiated and complies with the EU regulation 1999/3/EC.
BSE STATEMENT
