Plantain meal is a very soluble fiber source. Our diet is often low in fiber, even though this is essential for healthy digestion. Plantain seed meal is a finely ground version of plantain seed husks (100 grade) and is by far the most convenient way to supplement plantain seeds. Because it is finely ground, it mixes more easily in liquid than the peel and is therefore easier to drink.
Finely ground, water-soluble, indigestible vegetable fiber, which quickly creates a feeling of satiety due to its high absorption capacity. In a diet, consume a tablespoon of plantain seed flour with a glass of water before meals, which significantly reduces appetite and improves digestion and excretion. This 95% pure dietary fiber can also be effective in treating high blood sugar, constipation, high cholesterol and glucose intolerance.

Plantain seed flour has a very good water-binding property, it can be used for thickening during cooking and for making the dough more airy when mixed with baking. It can be used instead of gelatin to replace eggs in cakes and creams and puddings. To replace eggs: Mix 1 heaping teaspoon of plantain seed flour for approx. Allow to stand with 50 ml of cold water for 15 minutes. Use 1-2 teaspoons for thickening and baking.

PESTICIDES
Organic Psyllium Husk Powder complies with the requirements outlined in Council Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 (and consecutive amendments). It also complies with Soil Association strict organic farming standards. During the manufacturing process the product and the packaging materials are not exposed to pesticides or pesticide residues. Pesticides are not stored on site, nor used in the manufacturing or warehousing areas.
IRRADIATION
The product has not been irradiated and complies with the EU regulation 1999/3/EC.
RESIDUAL SOLVENTS
No residual solvents are used in the manufacturing process.
LEVEL OF UNDESIRABLE SUBSTANCES
The strictly controlled production process of Organic Psyllium Husk Powder ensures that the undesirable substances levels (heavy metals, PAH, mycotoxins, etc.) are below the limits identified by EU legislation (Commission regulation No 2073/2005, No 1881/2006 and consecutive amendments), including the recommendations provided by EFSA on food contaminants.
